Into the Light

As we gain awareness of our feelings and thoughts
each day, we create choices from the inside/out that
affect our life. Our physical reality reflects these
choices. If we are surrounded by loving and
supportive people, it is a sign that we love and support
ourself and others as well. If we tend to have critical
people surrounding us, it is a reflection of our own
criticism-toward others or toward our self.
We may feel that negative and challenging
circumstances "happen" to us because we don't
deserve better. Or we may believe that other
people cause negative situations. Even very positive
minded people can experience times of doubt and
frustration when challenging situations occur-
seemingly provoked by "outer causes." It can be
confusing as the effects in our life don't always show
up instantaneously, making it difficult to sense the
cause.
However, The Law of Attraction shows us time and
again, that our reality is simply a mirror of our
beliefs, feelings, words and actions. As we take
responsibility for creating our reality, we can shift our
perception by asking a few key questions:
What am I thinking right now? What am I feeling? What
am I communicating to others?
If we are focused on fear, worry, anger or impatience,
for example, we can choose to let go of these
patterns.
Here is a partial list of low vibrational qualities as well
as the high quality feelings we can choose to focus on.
1. serving others/being ambitious
2. letting go/worrying
3. accepting our self and others/judging our self or
others
4. supportive/critical
5.responsible/guilty
6. receiving/grasping
7. allowing/controlling or hanging on
8. doing/getting
9. following our joy/forced actions
10. cooperation/competition
11. gratitude/complaining, blaming
12. creating/needing
13.enjoying the process and the goal/focused only on
end results
14. fulfillment/sense of never having enough
15. peaceful/feelings of being separate
We can choose to live with compassion, understanding,
peace, love and joy. As we become aware daily of how
we think, act and feel, we can consciously shift our
perceptions and move toward the light. We gain a
greater sense of aliveness as we claim our authentic
power.
Recently, a member of a prosperity alignment group I
belong to made a discovery. She realized that she had
always gotten involved in taking action "against war"
versus being "for world peace." This realization
helped her shift her awareness. She made a clear
choice to give up resistance, and to be in alignment
with higher qualities of peace and empowering action.
A highly innovative company, The Natural Step, is a
worldwide organization dedicated to sustainability of
ecological products. The Natural Step does not react against big
corporations that poison our waters with oil spillage, or
that use non-biodegradable products, for example.
Instead, they provide scientific research and corporate
strategies for companies such as Nike and Home Depot
to develop new ecologically safe products for the
future. This is a truly inspiring story about generating
the power of cooperation, support and serving others in
a team effort, while creating effective change in
peoples' lives on a large scale.
The flip side is the Enron story, where certain
top executives decided to focus on money and outer
power, while disregarding the essential qualities of
integrity, serving their customers, and supporting their
employees. Had the company leaders focused on
these core elements, Enron would not have crumbled.
The company would still be in existence today as an
example of integrity and success.
The ego often tries to engage us personally in conflicts
such as greed vs. integrity, competing vs. cooperating,
and taking vs. contributing. Resisting conflict or
duality only causes more conflict-because we focus on
the problem, rather than embracing the positive quality
we desire. It helps to remember the simple yet profound
statement: "What we focus on expands." As we let go
of ego, we rise above duality to express the true power
of our heart and soul. We become one with our higher
self.

Into the Light:
Take five to fifteen minutes a day and focus on a few
of the powerful qualities mentioned in the previous list.
You may wish to add other qualities on your own.
Close your eyes and take a deep breath. Do this again
as you breathe in the powerful essences of joy,
creation, cooperation, support and trust...
Imagine a situation in which these qualities are taking
place in your life, as if in the present moment.
As you hold these feelings and energy a bit each day,
you expand your authentic power.This is a delicious
way to use the Law of Attraction.

vegetables,
*Inspiring sounds and music-relaxing time to nurture
our self,

As we reflect upon our individual lives and the world
around us, we understand that our personal and global
evolutions are related.
Technology has helped us to communicate
instantaneously on a global level. We are gaining
increased awareness of our connection to others and
how our thoughts, words and actions change world
dynamics at a deeper level. As we choose to move into
the Light each day, we are creating a shift into a
collective state of higher consciousness.
Monthly Affirmations
Many clients write their affirmations on a card. They
keep it in their wallet, by the phone, or at home where
they can easily see it. Affirmations can be stated
mentally or verbally. Stating them on a regular basis
with feeling is an effective way to solidify healthy
beliefs.
In her coaching programs, Marcie also uses progressive
affirmations when someone has resistance to believing
that the affirmation is "real." Sometimes there is a gap
between our reality and the affirmation, making it
difficult for our minds to accept the change. You can

Monthly Technique:
Find a quiet spot. Relax, close your eyes and take
several deep breathes. Take five to fifteen minutes a
day to bring in the feelings and qualities of peace, love,
joy, and any other uplifting qualities you desire.
You can always refer to a person or situation in the
past that enables you to bring these feelings fully
within. Notice how you feel after this exercise. You
should feel uplifted and light. It's a great way to start
the day!
