Ageless Beauty encompasses the unique beauty of our entire being; our physical, mental, emotional and spiritual nature. From the time we are born we start with an embryo of how we are perceived and how we respond to our beauty. Throughout our lives we continue to develop and expand the holistic sense of ourselves as women.

As girls, a number of us grew up without being reinforced about how beautiful or smart we were. Others were told we were smart but not pretty, or pretty but not powerful! As years pass we have coped in different ways, sometimes by holding on to those early judgments, and sometimes by becoming stronger and reinforcing our own sense of self-esteem and power. Our life experiences reflect these deep beliefs.

It is always a good idea to reflect on where we have been and where we are now, so we can continue to grow and express our beauty in enriching and highly satisfying ways.

Every woman goes through certain times in her life when she does not feel beautiful physically, mentally or emotionally. How is it possible to get back on track, and to maintain empowering love and authentic beauty from the inside, out? As a life effectiveness coach, I have worked with thousands of women to help them embellish their natural attractiveness, to accept and love themselves more completely from within, and to actively pursue their dreams.

Let’s celebrate ageless beauty by renewing a sense of balance, healthy beliefs, passion, and meaningful life experiences. Here are three essential keys to keep in mind during this process.

What can you do on a weekly basis to feel attractive and vibrant physically? How can you illuminate beauty and well being from within through thoughts, words, feelings and imagery?

As women, most of us rush here and there every day trying to meet deadlines, dealing with commute traffic
and often tending family needs along with domestic chores. Our logical minds follow society’s habits of
pushing us constantly to move quickly, with a never ending list of “to do’s.” It’s no wonder Super Women get stressed out! Amidst the chaos it is crucial to STOP and to replenish our mental, emotional, spiritualand physical health before illness or burnout forces us to stop everything.

Let’s look at Key 1: How can you feel more vibrant and attractive physically?

The idea here is to choose one or more activities you would like to incorporate into your life. By taking small steps at a time, you won’t feel overwhelmed. Personally I find that nurturing activities must go into my weekly agenda, or I will not do them.

  • Set a new goal for your exercise activities for one month. For example, you could augment your
    regular exercise program, add one walk per week, take an aerobics or yoga class, or whatever class motivates you, or you could get help from a professional trainer. Think about which exercises or sports
    excite you, and how you want to feel and look as a result.

  • Set one nutrition goal for at least one month to change a habit. For instance, you might cut down on chocolate, ice cream, pasta or bread. Or you could choose to include more fresh vegetables or fruit in your diet. Sense how your decision will benefit you through an increase in energy, having greater muscle tone, or just feeling sexier!
  • Update your image once a month to help you feel more attractive and to emphasize your personal beauty. It could be as simple as adding new accessories for clothing you already own. Try laying-out your current wardrobe and add one or two new pieces that coordinate with these items to complete outfits. Or use an image consultant to help you update your look and select flattering clothes that you would not normally choose yourself. Many makeup artists offer makeup lessons, which is a great way to improve your own makeup skills on a daily basis. Choose a makeup artist that is wearing natural, well-designed makeup herself. Perhaps it’s time for a new haircut. Check referrals for good hairstylists and try to bring a magazine photo with you that resembles the look you would like to realistically achieve.
  • Once a month treat yourself to a spa day, a massage, a pedicure, a manicure or even a home facial. Take a long luxurious bath with calming herbal essences such as lavender. Add a candle and peaceful music for atmosphere.
  • Take a break periodically to enjoy nature-a short walk or run in a park, by the beach, or in your neighborhood if it is peaceful and green. Focus on relaxation, serenity and enjoyment rather than thinking about all you have done or need to do during your day.
  • Begin a new activity or one you have wanted to do and have been putting off. Be creative and pay attention to your heart’s desires, even if it is something that is really out of the box for you. For example: painting, sculpting, learning a foreign language, traveling to an exotic country, museum trekking, girls’ night out, enjoying new movies or innovative plays.
  • Listen to your favorite music periodically. Before dinner with the family, or before the kids get home from school, close your eyes and listen to inspiring music to lift your spirits. Really let your mind relax and enjoy the nuances of the music.
  • Visualize yourself while in a relaxed state of mind. See yourself as fit, energetic and charged with energy and enthusiasm. Imagine taking time for self-nurturing, fun and creative pleasures! Affirm, “I am a uniquely beautiful and energetic woman. I make time in my life to nurture myself, and others are supportive of me. Thank you Universal Spirit, for drawing these experiences into my life.”
